All of the hydrosols I craft are produced in a traditional copper still. I use the finest ethically wild-harvested or chemical/pesticide-free botanicals. Hydrosols are wonderfully hydrating and great skin prep, though I will spray it on myself throughout the day when I need a pick-me-up from some "scent therapy." It is useful as a natural hair perfume, body spray or a room spray. Depending on the plant, some make excellent air purifiers and "smokeless" smudges for clearing negative energy.

Rose: heart opener. As a thorny plant, rose encourages healthy boundaries. One of the best known facial toners, rose water, has been used for hundreds of years.
Lavender: calming, relaxing, mildly astringent, and antimicrobial. A great toner or room spray.
Ylang Ylang: A soft tropical floral, Ylang Ylang is known as the "flower of flowers" due to its intoxicating and soothing aroma.
Incense Cedar: Grounding, earthy, and strongly antimicrobial, makes a beautiful energy clearing spray.
Witch Hazel: Distilled from the bark of the witch hazel tree. The ability of witch hazel to tighten skin and reduce visible redness makes this an ideal natural remedy for treating visible puffiness and irritation.
Sandalwood: Promotes mental clarity. Naturally calming and relaxing. Warm, earthy, and sweet. Many sandalwood trees face uncertainty as the demand for this remarkable oil rises. I use oil harvested from sustainable Australian sandalwood trees.
Lemon Verbena: citrusy and naturally uplifting with purifying properties
Clary Sage: has sedative abilities that induce feelings of relaxation, clarity, and calmness while alleviating dizziness, anxiety, and irritability. It exhibits a cooling property that soothes skin afflicted with inflammation.
